After the break that was taken last year, there is great excitement around the fact that it’s been officially announced that Virtual Epic Patriot Camp is returning in May 2025!

The point of Epic Patriot Camps 2022 and 2023 was to encourage and inspire the next generation to learn America’s epic history and to tell the story for generations to come. This year, Epic Patriot Camp’s theme is Independence, and the goal is to be a means of showcasing the coming-of-age and maturity—the independence—of the campers in the final book in the historical fiction trilogy.

Epic Patriot Camp 2025: INDEPENDENCE will be hosted by previous campers and published authors, Ella Quill and Christopher J. Watt. Both were campers in EPCs 2022 and 2023, with Christopher as the author for Benjamin Franklin, and Ella as the author for General William Howe in 2022, and General Benedict Arnold in 2023. Now, they have taken off on their own industrial journeys, with blogs and books to showcase their work. Ella is now the author of The Hidden Haven, a children’s fantasy novel, and Christopher is a writer and book cover designer with an interest in politics and all things historical.

With projects of their own and deadlines that must be met, Jenny L. Cote and Libby McNamee, the directors of the previous camps, are proud to be passing the baton onto Ella and Christopher. Jenny and Libby’s wonderful and life-changing leadership in the previous camps has left a lasting impact on the campers, and Christopher and Ella are intending to do whatever they can to honour this EPIC legacy.

Epic Patriot Camp 2025: INDEPENDENCE will be six weeks long, allowing time for the campers to produce their best work to be included in the final book of the The Epic Story of America trilogy, which is scheduled to be released in September of 2025. The focus this year will be writing the story of 1780–1783, covering the end of the American Revolution.

Registration for camp opened last Friday, to celebrate the 319th birthday of Dr. Benjamin Franklin, and will close in five weeks, on Saturday, 22nd of February, to honour the 293rd birthday of George Washington.

Epic Patriot Camp 2025: INDEPENDENCE is exclusively for previous campers. The mission of this year’s camp is to empower the alumni writers and encourage them to showcase how they’ve matured as the time’s progressed, while continuing to build the sense of community within the program.

If you have not previously participated in Epic Patriot Camp, you can still show your support by buying a copy of the previous Epic Patriot Camp books and leaving a glowing review on Amazon or Goodreads, and subscribing to the directors’ mailing lists to be one of the first to know when the third book is released.

We can’t wait to “see” you there! HUZZAH!
